Moorstone is more than a bed and breakfast. It is a unique guest house that offers the chic of the city hotel in a charming and historic Devonian house in the heart of the spectacular Teign Valley and Dartmoor National Park. Our guest house is situated adjacent to the famous Bridford Inn in the picturesque village of Bridford within walking distance of many beautiful lakes and reservoirs.
The late 18th century house was renovated in 2005. We have kept its original granite fireplaces, beamed ceilings and tastefully restored the rest to create a contemporary country feel.
Three charming en-suite bedrooms offer you a home from home, with all the mod cons, private parking and stunning views across the scenic countryside.
All of our guests are welcome to unwind in the peaceful lounge that over looks the village. Read a paper, listen to some music, meet other like-minded guests, dine or simply relax in its tranquil ambiance.
We love good, healthy food and are committed to using local and seasonal produce to create hearty breakfasts and picnic hampers for our guests. Our convivial dining room is small enough to enjoy a romantic three-course dinner and large enough for a hearty winter feast with friends.
Whilst staying with us at Moorstone why not explore the surrounding countryside on foot, horse or bike; play a few rounds at the nearby golf clubs; experience historic Dartmoor at one of the many country houses; visit the Jurassic coast, its breathtaking cliffs and golden sand beaches or contemplate dinner whilst catching a trout in the local lakes.
We adopt a strict non-smoking policy and to preserve the tranquil ambiance children are discouraged from staying.
